Care Worker Position at Caleendus

Salary: Starting from £11.44 per hour

Department: Support Worker

Caleendus is looking for support workers to join our team! We are a home care provider offering hourly and live-in care to the elderly and individuals with physical disabilities. You will be working with service users to provide care and support in all areas of their day-to-day living. We need dedicated and reliable people with a genuine interest in working with the elderly and people with physical disabilities. The role would be predominantly day including some weekends.

The main activities of a support worker are:

• Supporting adults of all ages with personal care, which could include dressing, bathing, toileting and moving and handling procedures.
• Assisting with medications- prompting and administering.
• Supporting customers to attend appointments and engage in social activities.
• Prompting and assisting with meal preparation, ensuring that nutrition and hydration needs are maintained.
• Clean domestic duties in the home.
• Supporting individuals with Dementia

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Demonstrates empathy and understanding of others.
• demonstrate passion for the care and well-being of adults in need.
• Demonstrate reliability and flexibility.
• exhibits a team-oriented work ethic.
• The candidate should ideally have some experience in caring for others.
• The candidate should also have the flexibility and availability to work full days and/or night shifts.
• A driver’s license is preferred, but it is not a requirement.
